“Niyazi Akıncıoğlu is a poet who acquires motifs from traditional narrations, folk poems and music, Divan poems; but he does not fall into the trap of structural artificialness, a unique style. The poems usually stem from the classics have a “simplicity”. But this is not the case with Akıncıoğlu poems; he has a dynamic poetry language where short verses interrelate and interconnect with each other. When he has the word, he moves breathless. But this fast run continues by strengthening the colors, not dispersing those. They turn into images he cannot have on purpose:

“Handcuff friend, hope has the white sail

Load your thoughts, load your ship

Your Greetings passes by, that’s obvious

Telegraph poles are green” (Tahir Abacı)
