Poet and writer (b. 20 November 1964, Düzlüce village / Banaz / Uşak). His real name is Mehmed Doğan. He has used the pen names Mehmed Doğan and Mehmet M. Doğan. He completed his primary education in his village. He studied at the Teachers High School as a free boarder in Demirc, Manisa and Akçadağ, Malatya (1981). He graduated from Ankara University, Journalism and Broadcasting Vocational School (1987). His professional journalistic career started in 1988. He worked as an economy, parliament and president’s office correspondent (1990- 96). He was the culture and art editor of the newspapers Siyah Beyaz and Günlük Haber (1996- 99). He published the review Pencere. He worked as an advisor at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation International Channel in 2001. He selected poems to be published on the TV program Saz Tar Gitar for which he also wrote the script. He started to work as the scriptwriter of the program Pazar Panorama, which was broadcasted on Turkish Radio and Television Corporation Channel 1, Turkish Radio and Television Corporation International and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation Turk in 2002.

His first poem was published in the newspaper Demokrat Gazetesi in 1980. Since then he has had his poems, prose, daily articles and interviews published in reviews such as Nitelik, Kıyı, Su, Yarın, Sanat Rehberi, Parantez (Germany), Çağdaş Türk Dili, Şiir–lik (Germany), Dünya Kitap, Cumhuriyet Kitap and in the newspapers Demokrat, Oslobodanje (Sarajevo) as well as on the online reviews İmece and Pencere. He was on the poetry selection committee of the review Yarın (1986- 87) and part of the administration of the review Sanat Rehberi (1985- 86). He has published the bi-monthly culture, intellect and art review Pencere since 1996.
