Poet, writer
and artist (b. 10 March 1952, Prizren / Kosovo). He is a graduate of Prizren
Advanced Academy of Pedagogy. He worked as a journalist on the radio and for
journals in Prizren for twenty-five years. He has been involved with painting
for thirty years.
His poems and articles were published in Birlik journal in Skopje and his poems have been translated into
six foreign languages. His play named 20.
Yüzyılın Karagöz ve Hacivatı (The 20th Century’s Turkish Shadow Theater,
Karagöz and Hacivat) was broadcast on Prizren Television in 1986. His plays İnek ile Sinek (The Fly and Yhe Cow,
1987), Gül ve Diken (The Rose and the
Thorn, 1988) and Caro ile Curo (Caro
and Curo, 1989) have been broadcast on radio.
Also interested in painting, Ethem
Baymak has held around fifty personal exhibitions in Yugoslavia and Turkey and
various European countries. He is a member of the Kosovo Turkish Writers
Association, and is the Art Director of the Kosovo Turkish Artists Association.
