Researcher and
writer (b. 1947, Küçükköy / Korkuteli / Antakya).
He completed his primary and secondary education in the same village, and graduated from Aydın Ortaklar
Teacher Training
School and Ankara Advanced Teacher Training
School Preparation Class (1966). He graduated from Ankara University,
Faculty of Science, Department of Biology (1970). After teaching at Tokat Primary
Teachers Training
School for two years (1970-71), he worked at Atatürk University,
Principle Science Advanced
School as a botany
assistant. He completed his PhD in this university and became an associate
professor. He did research in his field in the United Kingdom between 1978 and 1979. In 1988, he became
the Head of the Biology Department at Selçuk University,
Faculty of Arts and Sciences as a professor. Between 1993 and 1996, he was the
assistant to the rector and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Dumlupınar University. In 1997-1998, he was the
Director of the Advanced School of Health and between 1998 and 2004 he was the
Director of Environmental Problems Research and Application Center.
His first article related to his field was published in the periodical Yeni Asya in 1977, and his other
articles were published in the periodicals Zafer
(1982-88) and Sur (1984-88) and in
the newspapers Yeni Asya (1974-80)
and Tercüman (1986). He is a member
of the Biologists Association etc.
