Researcher
and writer (b. 1956, Battal village / Yozgat). He completed his primary and
secondary education in Yozgat. He graduated from Ankara Commerce and Tourism
Teacher Training School (1979). For a while he worked as a teacher at Yozgat
Commercial High School and as a department director of the Association of
Family Research at the Office of the Prime Ministry. He collected the Ministry
of Culture Competition Championship Award with his screenplay Bizim Eller
(Our Regions) that was filmed later in 1986. His script Küçük Bir Ayrıntı
(A Small Detail) that was awarded third prize at a television film competition
organized by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation became an eight-part
serial with the name of Islanan Topraklar (Earth Under Rain). In
addition to these Göç (Migration), a four-part serial and Bayramlarımız
(Our Religious Festivals), a two-part serial were broadcast by the Turkish
Radio and Television Corporation. For his folklore programs, he collected the
Folklore Research Center Award for Services to Turkish Folklore.
