Poet (b. 10 May 1954, Darende / Malatya). He also used the pen names Abdülkadir Paksoy and A. Kadir. He attended Sakarya Primary School (1966), Darende Elementary School (1969), Osmaniye High School (1972) and graduated from the Gazi Institute of Education, Department of Social Sciences (1979) and Anadolu University, Department of History (1991). He left İstanbul University, Faculty of Law in the first year. In 1976, he entered Ankara Municipality as a civil servant and worked there for two years. After 1979, he worked as a teacher of social sciences and history at various high schools in Ankara. He is a member of Writers Syndicate of Turkey, the Turkish Authors Association, the Association of Writers of Literary and Scientific Works and the Arts Foundation.

His first poem with the title Gerçek (The Fact) was published in the review Gerçek (Ankara, 1977). His later works were published in the reviews Yeni Şiir, Anadolu Ekini, abece, Milliyet Sanat and Güney Rüzgârı. He established and managed the reviews Yeni Şiir (editor-in-chief, 16 issues, 1987-89, Ankara) and Anadolu Ekini (in collaboration with Ümit Sarıaslan, and he was the Head of the Editorial Board, 40 issues, 1990-2001). He collected the Chamber of Architects and Engineers Special Award in 1986 with his poem Barış (Peace), the Nabi Üçüncüoğlu Poetry Award held by the review Kıyı in 1992, with his book Usulca (Gently), he came first at the Yarımca Culture Festival Poetry Contest in 1993 with his poem Troyalı Körpe Kiraz Dalı (The Trojan Cherry Tree Branch) and received an honorary mention at the Literature Awards held on the 50th anniversary of Anadolu University in 1996, with his poem Ankara (Ankara). His book ÖteBeri (This and That) was honored at the Şevket Aysan Poetry Awards in 2000. Some of his poems in Güneş Batarken (While the Sun Setting) were translated into Czech (1989). A poem in his book Hacı Bektaş Destanı (The Epic of Hacı Bektaş) was set to music by Ekrem Ataer.
