Researcher of language and literature (b. 3 July 1955,
Sivas). He attended primary and secondary school in Sivas. He graduated from
Erzurum Atatürk University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Turkish Language
and Literature (1976). He started his work life as an assistant of Secondary
Turkish at the department which he graduated from in 1977. In 1981 he became a
Literature Doctor by completing his study called İrşadü'l Mülûk ve's Selâtîn. In 1984 he became vice-assistant
professor. In 1985 he was appointed to chairman of the department of Turkish
Language. He left this duty after one year it was elevated. In 1987 he was
appointed to the same university, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department
of Turkish Language and Literature. He had continued this work till 1993. In
1988 e became assistant professor in the branch of new Turkish Language
Science. In 1992 he was appointed to vice-headmaster of Atatürk University,
Institute of Research on Turkish.
In 1993 he was appointed to Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of
Science-Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature as an assistant
professor of New Turkish Language. He was promoted to professorship in the same
year. In 1996 was elected noble membership of Turkish Language Foundation of
Atatürk Culture, Language and History Foundation. He had continued the work of
vice-rector of Gaziosmanpaşa University about four years. Then he worked as a
consultant of President of Turkish Language Foundation.
In 1982 his articles were published in Kardaş Edebiyatlar, Türk Folkloru, Erciyes, Gurbet, Türk Edebiyatı,
Türk Dünyası Araştırmaları, İslâmîEdebiyat, Türk Dili, Yedi İklim reviews.
He wrote substance for Türk Dili ve
Edebiaytı Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of Turkish Language and Literature.
He presented lectures by joining the meetings about his branch. He made radio
speeches and gave lectures in different universities about Turkish Language and
Literature.
