Poet and literature critic (b. 12 December
1938, Up Part of Kunakbayevo village / Orenburg / Russia). He graduated from
Bashkortostan State University, Faculty of Philology (1962). He worked as the
science researcher specialist in the Ufa Center of Russian Sciences Academy
after 1965. He is a doctor of Philology Sciences.
He published his first poems in 1957. He served as the president
of Writers Union of Bashkortostan after 1995. The history, language and culture
of the people have important place in his themes. Bikbayev who is successful in
combining these themes with his philosophic thoughts, received the Republic of
Bashkortostan Salavat Yulayev State Award in 1989. He is a state artist of the
Republic of Bashkortostan. (1992)
