Writer (b. 1956, Cevizli village /
Ardanuç / Artvin). He graduated from Bursa Faculty of Educational Sciences,
Depaertment of Turkish (1974) and Anadolu University, Department of Turkish
Language and Literature (1990). He worked as a high school ruler, Departmental
Director of National Education, vice-president in the Public Education Centers,
Regional Executor of Foundations in various districts of Anatolia. In 2004, he
was elected as the mayor of Yıldırım Town.
His first work “Bir El Ateş-One Shot”, was published in Millet newspaper (1971). Following years, his works were published
in Hisar, Türk Edebiyatı, İnanç, Öner
Sanat, İnkaya Çınarı etc. reviews and newspapers. He won the Third rank of
1985 İnanç Literature with his novel Mühür
(The Seal), also he took the First rank in the Ministry of Forestry in 1989 Environment-Novel Contest
with his novel called Yeşil Tutku (Green Passion), also Öner Literature Awards’ the Best Author of the Year in
1989. He also collected the Green Crescent Best Theatre Play Award of with his
play Kimliğimi
Arıyorum (I’m Searching My
Identity), Ministry of National Education’s First award of 1990 Short Story
Contest with his story called Öğretmenim (My Teacher), Türk Edebiyatı 1991 Environment Interview Awards with his work
called Bir Yeşil Bursa Vardı (There was a Green Bursa), the Love Year
Award with Yunus Emrem Var Yarına (I have a Yunus Emre for Tomorrows),
Ministry of National Education First rank of the Novel Contest with his novel Göçmen Gözler (The Immigrant Eyes), the First award of Europe in the Ministry of
National Education- United Nations Educational, Scientific
and Cultural Organization 1992 Project Contest. He has been a member of
Intellectuals Guild and Writers’ Union of Turkey.
