Poet and writer (b. 1934, Çumra /
Konya – 15 April 1992). He also wrote under the pen name Kemal Bayram. He could
not continue his education at Düziçi Village Institute (1930) as he was
arrested under article 142 of the Turkish Criminal Code
He worked in various jobs and at the reviews and
newspapers Bugün (1953) in Adana, Taş, Dolmuş and Akşam in İstanbul. He published a newspaper called Yenigün (1968) in Ankara. He wrote books
about his travels from the Bahamas to Siberia, from the depths of Asia to
Africa. He won the Evliya Çelebi Award in 1983.
