Writer and politician (b. 25 November
1941, Safranbolu / Zonguldak). His full name is Kıvılcım Kemal Anadol. He is
son of the poet and writer Mustafa Zihni Anadol. He attended Karadeniz Ereğlisi
Alemdar Primary School, Karadeniz Ereğlisi Secondary School and graduated from
Ankara Atatürk High School and Ankara University, Faculty of Law. He worked as
a lawyer and journalist in Karadeniz Ereğlisi between 1966 and 1973. He was
elected as a parliamentary deputy for Zonguldak in 1977 and İzmir deputy in
1987. He was imprisoned for a time after the military coup on 12 September. He
continues his studies in İzmir. He is a member of the Writers Syndicate of
Turkey.
His many articles on politics, law and
the environment have been published in the newspapers Memleket (Ereğli- Zonguldak, founder, editor, 1966-73), Cumhuriyet, Yeni Yüzyıl and in various
reviews. His book Kartal Maltepe’den
Sağmalcılar’a İnsan Manzaraları (Portraits of People from Kartal Maltepe to
Sağmalcılar) was translated into Greek in 1989. He won the Cumhuriyet Newspaper
Yunus Nadi Article Award in 1963 and the Communication Special Award at the
Abdi İpekçi Peace and Friendship Award in 1994.
