Writer (b. 1938, Kars). She is the
daughter of poet and writer Halide Nusret Zorlutuna. She attended Ankara İnönü
High School, Cebeci Elementary School and graduated from the Turkish
Education Association Ankara
College. She studied at Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and
Geography, Department of English Language and Literature and Philosophy for a
time. She continued publishing the review Töre,
formerly Ayşe that she started to
publish in 1969. Her review Töre was
mostly a politic review as well as featuring literature works and she was the
owner and editor-in-chief of this review until 1981. She published her poetry
and short stories in reviews such as Töre
(1971), Hisar and Türk Edebiyatı. She is a member of
Writers Union of Turkey, the Professional Association of Scientific and
Literary Work Owners of Turkey and the Turkish Literature Foundation.
She came first at the Ministry of
Tourism and Promotion Art Award with her novel Küçük Dünya (Little World, 1967). She won the 1969 Turkish Radio
and Television Corporation Radio Play Award for drama with her play Bir Yürek Satıldı (A Heart was Sold,
1967). She won the Turkish Literature Foundation Malazgirt Novel Award in 1971
with Ak Topraklar (The White Lands)
and the Writers Union of Turkey Novel Award in 1982 with her book Cambaz (The
Acrobat). Bir Yürek Satıldı (A Heart
was Sold) was broadcast on television.
