Researcher-writer (B. January 8, 1916 Şarkikaraağaç / Isparta – D. January 26, 1996, Istanbul). He graduated from Şarkikaraağaç Primary School (1928), Yalvaç Secondary School (1932), Ankara Boys’ High School (1935) and Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography (1940). He became an assistant at the same faculty (1940), became a doctor (1943), associate professor (1949) and professor (1955). He was the dean of the same faculty (1966-1968) and Ministry of Culture Consultant (1975-1978 and 1980). He continued as a contractual professor at DTCF. He was the general president of Association of Turkish Hearths.

His articles were published in journals such as Zafer, Tercüman, Yeni Düşünce gazeteleri ve Türk Edebiyatı, Diyanet Dergisi, Bizim Ocak, Kubbealtı Akademi Mecmuası since 1941. Some of his articles were translated into foreign languages and published in several foreign journals. He published the journals of Türk Yurdu (1958-59), Millî Kültür (1977-80), Anadolu (1966-69), Selçuklu Araştırmaları Dergisi (since 1968). He received the idea award in 1987 from Turkey National Culture Foundation with his work Milli Kültür Davamız.

TRANSLATION: Dünya ve Garb (From Arnold Toynbee’s The World and the West named work, 1963).
