A businessman, founder and Chairman of the Management Boad at Profilo Holding. The father of businessman, Profilo Holding Executive Committee Member and former deputy Cefi Kamhi, grandfather of painter, internal architect and business woman Melda Kamhi.

Jak Kamhi, who was born in 1925 in Istanbul, completed his middle school education at Saint Michel High School. After having graduated from Yıldız Technical University, he had specialization education on “steel construction” in France. He was a pioneer of many firsts in steel construction, metal objects and electronics in Turkey. Besides his duty as the Chairman of the Board, he is a member of İstanbul Sanayi Odası (T.N. Istanbul Chamber of Commerce), İktisadi Kalkınma Vakfı (T.N. Economic Development Foundation), Foreign Economic Affairs Council, Turkish-French Business Council and the founder of Metal Eşya İşverenleri Sendikası (T.N. Turkey Metal Object Employers Union), as well as the member of Yeditepe University Board of Trustees.

Kamhi, who served as the management board member at TÜSİAD for long years, also served as the first and only Turkish member of European Industrialists Round Table (ERT) for twelve years. He was entitled with “Outstanding Service Medal of State” in 1991 and 2007 for two times by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “Honorary Engineering Doctorate” in 1992 by Istanbul University. Due his works in international areas, he was awarded with “Legion d’Honneur” in 1991 by the French Government, “Commandeur dans l'Ordre National du Merite” medal in 1997 by the French President Jacques Chirac and “Commander of the Order of the Spanish Civil Merit” medal in 2003 by the King of Spain I. Juan Carlos.

Among his awards are “Outstanding Service Award” by the Presidency in 1991 and 2007, leadership award by Turkish-American Friendship council in 1992, “Honorary Engineering Doctorate” title in 1992 by İstanbul University, “Thanks and Appreciation” plate by Turkey Chief Rabbi – Turkish Jew Society in 2003 and the “Commander of the Order of the Spanish Civil Merit” medal in 2003 by the King of Spain I. Juan Carlos. He speaks French, English and Spanish and he has three children and 7 grandchildren. He has a work titled “Recent Amendments in Tax Laws – Law numbered 4369 ("Vergi Kanunlarındaki Son Değişiklikler - 4369 sayılı Kanun") (1998) published by Ankara Union Chamber of Certified Public Accountants.
