Mystic (B. 1865, Başkale
/ Van- D. 1943, Bağlum / Ankara). His full name is Esseyyid
Abdülhakîm Arvâsî. After the surname act, he received Üçışık as his surname. He
is one of the Naqgshbandi Sheikhs.
He went to primary and secondary schools in Başkale. Later, he got permission
from several scholars in different regions of
He took caliphate from Nakşibendiyye, Kübreviyye, Sühreverdiyye, Kâdiriyye and Çeştiyye tribes. At the beginning of the World War I, because of the Russian invasion in Başkale and attack of Armenians to local people, he and his family firslyt moved to Mosul and then Adana, Eskişehir and finally to Istanbul (1919). In October 1919, he was inducted to Kaşgârî Monastary in Eyüp. He thought Islamic Mysticism History in Mütehassisîn Madrasah. Until the monasteries were closed, he worked as a sheikh and imam in Kaşgari Monastery and Mosque.
He was thought to be connected with
the Menemen Incident, got arrested and was sent to Menemen. Then it was revealed
that he had no ties with the Menemen Incident. He taught in Beyoğlu Ağa Mosque
and Beyazıt Mosque. After he met Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, he was known by the
luminaries. In September 1843, he was sent to İzmir by the martial law. Then he was permitted to go
