Journalist and writer (b. 1952, Siverek / Şanlıurfa). After completing his primary and secondary education in his hometown, he studied law at İstanbul University (1979). During his university years he started to work at the review Hilal and the newspaper Millî Gazete. He worked as the head of the editorial department at Millî Gazete (1979-82). In addition, he managed the publishing house Piran, which he established in those years (1975-77). He went to London and Cambridge to study at an English language courses (1986). Completing a training course in law, he went to Saudi Arabia (1981) where he graduated from Mecca Umme'l-Qura University, Department of Davet ve Usulü'd Din (1989). He worked as editor and consultant at Zehra Publishing House, which prepared again Risale-i Nur Külliyatı (the Works of Pamphlets of Nur) by Bediüzzaman Said Nursi for publishing.

His articles were published in the journals and reviews Hilal (1969-80), Millî Gazete, Yeni Devir (1978-81), Bilgi ve Hikmet, Sözleşme, Serbestî, Dava, Nu-bihar, Düşçınarı, Kardelen, Köprü, and Yeni Zemin (1993-94), both of which he owned and was head of the editorial department. He has translated from contemporary Islamic thinkers.
