Novelist
(b. 1906, İstanbul – d. 29 March 1966). He attended İstanbul Kabataş High
School for Boys (1922) and the School of Engineering and graduated from the
Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture (1929). He worked as the
Director of Technical Works at Adana Municipality and then became the First
Architect of the Ministry of National Education (1932). Later he worked as a
freelance architect and contractor. He was one of the most famous
representatives of the historical novel in Turkish literature. Most of his
works have been filmed for the cinema.
