Novelist and short-story writer (b. 1935, Kangal / Sivas). After
graduating from Yıldızeli Pamukpınar Village Institute, he worked as a class
teacher and a primary school inspector.
He finished his higher education at İstanbul Education Institute. While
he was a teacher at İstanbul Girls School, he retired and settled in İstanbul.
He is famous for his works in children’s literature. He won the 1973
Arkın Children’s Literature Award with his work Han Yaptırma Yarışı (The Race to Build Large Commercial Buildings),
the Turkish Commercial Bank Children’s Play award with Küçük Hakan (Little Khan), the 1979 World Year of The Child /
Milliyet Children’s Play Award with his children’s play İMBÖ (İMBÖ) and he won the third prize in the 1979 Ministry of Culture’s
Children’s Literature Competition.
