Poet, translator and critic (b. 12 May 1940, Kepenekçi village /
Georgia). He attended primary and secondary school in Kepenekçi, Arıhlı and
Fahralı villages. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University, Faculty of
Philology. Then he studied in Nizamî Institute of Language and Literature,
Marxism and Leninism University and Şevçenko Institute of Literature in Ukraine
(Kiev).
In 1957 his
first poem was published in Şarkın Şafağı
newspaper in Tbilisi. He translated from poet and writers of Ukraine. He wrote
poems for Ukraine and Ukrainian. Because of his services he became Ukraine
Public Poet. He worked at newspapers and reviews like Ulduz, Edebiyat and İncesanat.
He translated from Russian. He is an active member in Azerbaijan Public Party.
