Historian of Islamic arts. He was born in Nizip/Gaziantep in January 1,
1950. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Theology (1973). He worked as teacher and principle in Kilis
After 1982, he gave lectures in Erzurum University Faculty of Theology for a while. He completed his academic career and became Associate professor and professor. He became a lecturer in Ankara University Faculty of Theology and continued with his studies. His works published in academic journals.
