Short-story writer (b. 1941, Şarkikaraağaç / Isparta). She graduated from İstanbul High School for Girls and İstanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Archeology (1966). She worked as a producer at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, İstanbul Radio. With her short story book, Geyikler, Annem ve Almanya (Deer, My Mother and Germany), she came first in the story category at the 1981 Akademi Publishing House Literature Awards. She won the 1983 Sait Faik Short Story Award and with Burgaç (The Swirl) she received the Yunus Nadi Short Story Award in 1990.
