Educator-writer.  She was born in Gümülcine in 1908. She is the wife of writer Rakım Çalapala. She wrote school plays and story books. After the government’s permission to publish textbooks, she prepared History, Geography, Civics, and Marital Information, Biology, and Mathematics textbooks for 4th and 5th grades in the Atlas Publishing which she established with her husband Rakım Çalapala in 1951. Her textbooks were used until the decision of publishing them by government in 1970. She shared the prize with her husband in Alphabet for the First Time contest.
