Cinema historiographer and translator (b. 1927, İstanbul). He is the son of Mustafa Nihat Özön. He attended Ankara Atatürk High School (1927) and graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Faculty of Turcology and the Institute of Librarianship (1952). His critiques and reviews were published in Yeryüzü, Beraber, Pazar Postası from 1951 and in the newspapers and reviews Sinema (1956), Ulus, Akis, Yön and Devrim, which he published with his friends. He also translated scripts.

In addition, he translated works on cinema and film scripts.
