Poet, short story writer, musician and calligrapher (b. 1942, İnkışla village / Sarıkaya / Yozgat). He graduated from Kayseri Mimar Sinan Teachers Training School (1960), Gazi Institute of Education, Department of Art and Vocational Education (1964). He worked as a class teacher and school director in Gercüş and as an art teacher at Ankara and Bitlis high schools. He was sent to England and did research relate to school administration and curriculum programs. He completed his higher education at Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences and made his masters on art education. He completed his PhD on Islamic Arts in the Faculty of Theology at the same university. He transferred to Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Art and Vocational Education and became an associate professor in 1984 and a professor in 1995. He was elected as a member of the Atatürk Culture, Language and History Advanced Association. He has participated in many scientific meetings and has held conferences in Turkey and the Turkic Republics. He did research on art education at Arizona State University in the United States in 1997.

As from 1986, he worked as the Chairman of the Department and Main Science Branch of Art in the same faculty and worked at the Atatürk Culture Center. In addition to poetry and prose, he is interested in music and for a while he took lute and reed flute lessons from musicians such as Dr. Nazmi Özalp, Cinuçen Tanrıkorur and Arif Biçen. His poems, essays and short stories have been published in periodicals such as Türk Yurdu, Bilge, Türk Dili, Bozok, Yedi İklim, Millî Eğitim.

RESEARCH: Ta'lik Yazıya Plastik Değerler Açısından Bir Yaklaşım (An Approach to Poetry Writing from a Perspective of Plastic Values, 1994), Eleştiriye Giriş ve Resim Eleştirileri (Introduction to Criticism and Art Critics, 2005).
