Poet and writer (b. 1924, İstanbul – d. 8 November 1979). He started his elementary education at Robert College and İstanbul High School for Boys and graduated from Boğaziçi Private High School (1945). He worked only as a writer. He often traveled abroad and lived in France for a time. He died in traffic accident near Bolu. His poetry and short stories that he wrote with the influence of the “Strange Movement” were published in the reviews and newspapers such as Kaynak, Yeditepe, Nokta of which he was one of the founders, Ataç, Yeni Edebiyat, Yansıma and Cumhuriyet.

He followed a socialist realist style in his poetry. His works were published in Russian, Czech and Bulgarian. From 1980, after his death, a poetry award and a short story award was established by his family in his memory.

SHORT STORY: Yaşama Duvarı (The Wall of Living, 1964), Almanya-Almanya (Germany – Germany, 1965), Çıplak (Naked, 1966), Akrep Üretim Çiftliği (Scorpion Producing Farm, 1968), Çıplak (Naked, short stories in his four books, 1970), Boğaların Ölümü (Death of the Bulls, 1975).

TRAVEL LITERATURE: Sovyetler Birliği'nden Batıya (From the Soviet Union to the West, 1966), Üçüncü Bir Dünya (A Third World, 1974), Almanya Beyleri ile Portekiz Bahçeleri (German Princes and Portuguese Gardens, 1975).

ESSAY: Türkiye'deki Amerika (America In Turkey, in two volumes, 1967, in one volume, 1969).
