Journalist-author. Born in 1950 in Aydın.
She graduated from Izmir American Girls College and Ege University’s Faculty of
Economy, Department of Economy. She started journalism in 1979 and worked in foreign news department of Yeni Asır
newspaper. Later she was the editor in chief in Rapor newspaper.
She started writing interviews in Hürriyet
newspaper in 1995, and
continued it in Yeni Yüzyıl, Radikal and Taraf newspapers
under the title of Pazartesi Konuşmaları. She worked in Dünya, Hürriyet
and Milliyet newspapers as a reporter and author.
After private television channels started broadcasting, she prepared news and debate programs: in Star TV Kırmızı Koltuk with Ahmet Altan; in Kanal 6 Bizim Koltuk and Dinamit; and in Kanal D Dinamit and Kampana. One part of her interviews was published as a book in 2000 under the title of Türkiye'nin Gizlenen Yüzü. She is known especially with her interviews “Pazartesi Konuşmaları” published in Taraf newspaper on Mondays.
