Statesman (b. 1944, Kitre village / Bayburt). He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law (1966). He dealt with politics as from his youth. Between 1965 and 1966, he was the president of Youth Branch the Republican Peasants National Party. He worked as a district governor in various districts since 1967. In 1977 at the time of Gün Sazak's presidency, he was appointed as the Undersecretary of Customs and Tobacco Monopoly. In 1987 elections he entered the parliament as İstanbul Deputy from the Motherland Party. In 1989 he became the first Minister of Culture after the division of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He worked as the Prime Minister Counselor between years of 1991-93 and as the President’s Counselor between 1913-1915. In 1995 general elections he was elected as İstanbul deputy from the True Path Party and worked as the Responsible Minister of the Anatolian Agency and Press Information General Directorate within the 54th (Welfare Party – True Path Party) Coalition Government. Zeybek, who was also interested in education and culture as well as politics and statesmanship was appointed the first chairman to the Board of Trustees of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi International Turkish- Kazakh University in 1993. In 1999 he continued his work being appointed to the same position one more time. His articles were published in various newspapers and periodicals as well as his own newspaper Ay Yıldız.
