Linguist, short story writer (b. 1948, Beyceğiz village / Polatlı / Ankara). She has lived in Ankara since she was ten year. She graduated from Ankara University, Faculy of Language, History and Geography, Department of Turkish Language (1971). In the same year, she entered Turkish Language Association and joined the linguists who study on Turkish of Turkey in the Grammar/Linguistics Branch of the Institute. She joined the preparation process of dictionaries of spelling from 1973 to 1983. After the Turkish Language Association was closed, she left the institute willingly and started to work in the field of publication. She was publisher of Bilge Publishing House since 1973. She was among the founders of Language Association together 34 writers from Turkish Language Association members in 1987. She worked as general writer, inferior president, president of this association and as general director of the review, Türk Dili published monthly. She was publisher of the Ümit Publishing House between 1992-98 and editor of the Uğur Mumcu Foundation of Researching Jurnalism (1998-2002). She  quitted working and devoted herself to writing since 2002. Her articles and short stories were published in the reviews, Türk Dili, Gösteri, Adam Sanat, Varlık, Yaşasın Edebiyat and in the newspapers Cumhuriyet, Radikal, Siyah Beyaz, Evrensel.
