Sabri Akbel

Novelist. He was born in Beşiri / Batman in 1950. He was graduated from primary school in Yakıtlı Village, secondary school in Batman, high school in Elazığ (1969). He was graduated from Siirt Teacher School in 1970 and worked as primary school teacher in various places of the country. In 1974, he was assigned to Istanbul and later he began with his study in Istanbul University and was graduated from Faculty of Literature Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1982. He worked as teacher and principle in various schools for a long time and after 1985 he worked as office director and director in Istanbul National Education Directorate. In 2001, while he was still working as a director, he got retired with his own will. His writings and tales were published in newspapers such as Yeni Asya, Yeni Nesil and magazines such as Sur, Can Kardeş.
