Poet
(b. 29 April 1926, İstanbul - d. 11 November 1996, Ankara). He was the youngest son of Mucurlu Ahmet
Hamdi Erman (b. 1893). He attended the Afyon High School (1943) and graduated
from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences (1947) and Faculty of Law
(1961). He worked as an officer of the provincial suite; as the governor of the
districts of Güney, Akçadağ, Kızılcahamam, Altındağ and Ilgaz (1950-60),
assistant member of the Council of State, agent of the first assistant of 3rd office
(1960-62), reporter of the Constitutional Court (1960-66), spokesman of the
Council of State and as the mayor of Nevşehir, Antalya, Rize, Muğla and
Tekirdağ (1966-80).
His
poems were published in the reviews Ülkü,
Yedigün, Milliyet, İnkılapçı Gençlik, Kemalist Ülkü, Kaynak, Varlık and Hisar.
