Painter and writer (b. 1906, İstanbul – d. 10 January 1982). He graduated from Galatasaray High School and Academy of Fine Arts. He was a student of İbrahim Çallı and Hikmet Onat in the faculty. After he made workshops in Paris and came back, he took part in founders of group of Individuals and group D in 1933.

He founded the International Art Critics, Committee of Turkey of UNESCO with Suut Kemal Yetkin in 1954. He continued his professorship until his retirement. He worked as the director of İstanbul Art and Statue Museum in 1960s. He obtained the first place in State Art and Statue Exhibition. In addition to art, he also became well known with his writings in various types of literature.
