Poet (B. 1926, Istanbul – D. April 3, 1992, Ankara). He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature (1950). He started with his journalism career in 1945 when he was a high school student. He worked in Son Posta, Yeni Sabah, Cumhuriyet newspapers. He received a honorary press card in the following years. He established Ajans Türk Journalism and Printing Press Inc. in 1953 with Şevket Evliyagil. He worked as the managing director and head writer of Ajans Türk journal for long years. He worked as the general secretary of Turkey Tourism Center (1967-1972). He was the Ankara Deputy between 1973 and 1977. He was selected as Council of Europe member. He has participated few times to “Struga night poetry festival” which was arranged in the city of Struga, Yugoslavia since 1961. He prepared and hosted the program named “Şiir Dünyası” at TRT television.

His first poems were published in 1945 when he was a high school student. He had an effort to write the poem of thought since 1960; so he stated what he thought, now what he heard of. He expressed Istanbul with its old villas, old fishermen, blue sky, wind with rain, seasons, gardens and flowers in his book named Eski Yalı.
