Writer (b. 30 June 1933, Demirciköy / Gülağacı / Aksaray). He attended Demirciköy Primary School (1943) and İvriz Village Institute (1947) and graduated from Ankara Gazi Institute of Education (1955). He served as a teacher in Nurgöz, Çardak and Demirci villages around Aksaray (1947-53), as an inspector of primary education in Ankara (1955-64), and advisor at the Ministry of Culture (1979-80). Beginning in 1961, he traveled across various countries in Europe for purposes of observation, language education and giving lectures. After retirement, he lived in Ankara. He is a member of the Language Society, the Turkish Authors Association and the Writers Syndicate of Turkey.

His first poem entitled Toros'un Eteğinde (At the Foot of the Taurus Mountains) was published in the review Türk'e Doğru (Eskişehir, July, 1945). Beginning in 1946, his works were published in the reviews Ülkü, Varlık (1948-2000), Türk Dili, Çağdaş Türk Dili, Türk Dili Dergisi and ABC and in the newspapers Cumhuriyet (1950-2000), Vatan, Öncü, Ulus and Yenigün. In 1976, he collected the Turkish Language Association Award with Değişenler (Changing Things; ‘Bizim Köy’, Our Village, 1975). Some of his works have been translated into various languages.
