Pedagogue and writer (b. 1902,
Bolu – d. 11 May 1971, İstanbul). He also used the pen name Zahide Durur. He
completed his primary and secondary education in Bolu. He worked as a teacher
of history and director at elementary and high schools in Giresun, Bolu,
Gaziantep and Artvin and at the Ankara State Conservatory (1937). He was
elected Bolu parliamentary deputy twice (1950 and 1957). He was a board member
of the National Reassurance Committee (1954) and established Danışman
Publishing House. He is buried in Zincirlikuyu Graveyard.
He wrote textbooks and historical novels. He did simplifications from the Ottoman language.
