Industrialist, businesswoman, Chairman of the Board of Suteks. Born in Istanbul, Ms. Ger started the secondary school at Galatasaray High-School and finished as an exchange student with AFS Scholarship at Lamar High-School in Texas. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Business Administration and obtained an M.A. Degree in International Relations and Economy from the same university. She founded her first company Birlik Ticaret at her early 20‘s and founded SUTEKS in 1986.
Ms. Ger joined Turkish
Clothing Manufacturers' Association (TGSD) and served as the first woman
President of the Board for the term 94'-96'. She played a critical role in the
Customs Union Agreement between EU &Turkey.
A member of TUSIAD and Board Member of TURKONFED, founding member of
women associations KA -DER, KAGIDER and TESEV, Ms. Ger has headed the Gender
Equality Working Group in TUSİAD.
Due to her active involvement
in women’s empowerment and many awards given by international and national
organisations, Ms. Ger has been appointed as the Business Spokesperson of WEPs
(http://www.weprinciples.org/ ) between 2016-2018.
