Novelist, journalist and writer (b. 1914, İstanbul – d. 1979). He also
used Görünmeyen Adam and Lüks Koltuktaki Adam as pen names. He attended primary
school in İzmir, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from İstanbul Vefa High
School (1939). He began his career as a
journalist in this city at the newspaper Yeni
Asır. He started to work for the Turkiye Publishing House in İstanbul. He
published the magazine reviews Yıldız (332 issues,
1939-54) and Hafta (275 issues,
1949-59) with Tahsin Demiray and Camil Cahit Cem. From 1960, he worked at Hayat
Press where he participated in the preparation of Hayat Ansiklopedisi (The Hayat Encyclopedia) and from 1972 he
worked on the publication of Hürriyet
Takvimi (The Hürriyet Calendar) and Hürriyet
Yıllığı (The Hürriyet Annual). Some of the scripts that he wrote were
filmed.
