Bursa High School for Boy

Journalist and writer (b. 1928, Karadeniz Ereğli / Zonguldak – d. 20 September 1992, Ayvalık / Balıkesir). After he graduated from Bursa High School for Boys, he dropped out of İstanbul Faculty of Law. He started as a reporter on the newspaper Büyük Doğu in 1950 and he continued his career as a journalist by working as chief editor, editor-in-chief and Ankara reporter for the newspapers and reviews Bursa, Antalya, Ankara, Pazar Postası, Son Havadis, Kim, Milliyet, Akşam, Türk-İş, Hareket, Akis. He worked as a columnist at the newspapers Akşam (1978-81), Yeni Ortam, Vatan.

His articles on literature and his book reviews appeared in the journals, İmece, Türk Solu, Devrim, Güney, Pazar Postası, Seçilmiş Hikâyeler and Akis, apart from the ones already mentioned. His last job was as a columnist for the review Milliyet. At different times, he was the Chairman of the Ankara Journalists Association and the Ankara Union of Journalists. He won the Contemporary Journalists Association Abdi İpekçi Award in 1982.
