Journalist-writer. He was born on June 27, 1952 in Ankara. He began with his primary and secondary education in London, which he completed at TED Ankara College. He graduated from Warwick University, Business and Computer Department in 1973 and started to work at Turkish Daily News newspaper. He became the editor-in-chief of this newspaper since 1984.

He has participated in private meetings conducted by famous statesmen between the years 1991-1993 as the special consultant of Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel. He was among the permanent guests of the program named Başkent Kulisi in Channel 7, prepared and hosted by Fehmi Koru. He was a columnist in Zaman newspaper. He received the Turkish-American Associations Assembly outstanding service award in 1990 and the special award of outstanding journalism and interpretation in 1994 from Turkish-American Friendship Council.
