Poet, writer and statesman. He was born in February 17, 1927, Kemalpaşa/Izmir. He was graduated from Kemalpaşa Primary School (1940), Tilkilik Secondary School (1943), İzmir İnönü High School (1946) and Ankara University Faculty of Law (1951). After that, he worked as independent lawyer for a while (1954-61) he started with his political career. From 1961 until September 12, 1980, he was a congressman of Izmir JP. He became JP Parliament Group Deputy Chairman (1962-64), Secretary of State for Industry (1964), Minister of Labor (1965), Vice Prime Minister (1973), again Minister of Labour (1973), Minister of Education (1975-78)ç he continued his studies in Ankara.

He published his articles and poems about social and political topics in Ege Ekspres (İzmir), Tercüman (1967-89), Türk Edebiyatı, Töre, Kemalist Ülkü, Hisar, Çaba, İmbat, Gülpınar, Parlamento, Yazar, Türk İnşa newspapers and magazines after 1952. Not only with his poems and articles but he was also known with his conferences about various topics. He reflected the beauty and love of nation, passion and love topics in his poems with a spare style and spare sensitivity.
