Storywriter and novelist (b. 5 June 1928, Diyarbakır - d. 24 May 2011, Diyarbakır) ). Her full name is Aydın Esma Ocak. The poet and parliamentary deputy Osman Ocak Nakiboğlu was her uncle. She lived and carried out her studies on writing in Diyarbakır. She is the president of the Diyarbakır Foundation for Arts and Culture Promotion and a member of the Writers Syndicate of Turkey and the Turkish Authors Association.

Her work with the title Berdel (Marriage of Convenience) was filmed by Atıf Yılmaz and collected many international awards, including the International Art Cinema Confederation Award in Berlin. Her works Berdel (Marriage of Convenience) and Yeni Çardak (New Arbor) were staged at theatres.
