History of literature (B. February 26, 1911, Yanya / Greece – D. January 3, 1996, Istanbul). He also used the pseudonym Şinasi Onurkan. He graduated from Istanbul Kabataş High School for Boys and Higher School of Teachers, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1934). He worked as a literature teacher for ten years at high schools in Kars, Sivas and Yozgat (1934-1944). Then, he was appointed as docent of Turkish literature at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. He became a professor in 1944. He is known with his research and reviews on the history of Turkish literature.
