Educator and poet (b. 13 July 1952, Küçükyoncalı village / Saray /
Tekirdağ). After attending the Küçükyoncalı Primary School, the Edirne Teacher
Training School for Boys (1970), and the İstanbul Atatürk Institute of Education, Department of Turkish
Language (1976), he completed his higher education at Anadolu University, Open
Education Faculty, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1991). He
worked as a teacher at primary and high schools in the villages and city
centers of Balıkesir (1970-73), Adıyaman (1977-78) and Tekirdağ (1979-99), and
took his pension off in 1999. He is a member of the Turkish Authors
Association, the Writers Syndicate of Turkey and the Ataturkist Thought
Association.
