Poet, researcher of literature (b. 12 October 1930, Lefke / Northern Cyprus) - d. 13 October 2017, Lefkoşa / Cyprus. He attended the Lefke Primary School (1943), Nicosia Turkish High School (1949) and graduated from Ankara Gazi Institute of Education (1953). After high school, he worked as a drawing technician at the Cyprus Metal Company (1951-53). After graduation from the Gazi Institute of Education, he worked as a teacher at Baf Turkish College for three years (1953-56). Afterwards, he moved to İstanbul and gave lectures on Turkology at İstanbul University (1956-60). Then, he became a teacher at the Turkish Teachers College and as an inspector at the Directorate of Education (1960-62), later as the chief of Turkish programs on the Cyprus Radio-Broadcasting Corporation (1963-64), as the radio manager on the Lefke Sancak Radio (1964-68), as the chief of radio programs and television manager at the Bayrak Radio (1969-83), as a coordinator at Girne American University (1992-93), as a member of the research center at Lefke University (1993-94). He gave lectures on Turkish language at Lefke University after 1994 and at East Mediterranean University after 2000.

After 1984, his articles were published in Yeni Kıbrıs (1984-90), Söz (1986), Varlık (1987), Kültür Sanat (1992, 1994-95) magazines. In 1987 he shared the Lefkoşa Turkish Bank Culture and Arts Award with Haşmet Gürkan. In 1988, he received İstanbul Marmara University Turkology Research and Application Center Science Award. He collected the Foundation of Turkish World and Services for Turkish Culture, Turkish Language Honor Award of in March 2002. Some of his works were published by Ministry of Culture.

Harid Fedai is particularly famous for his researches on Turkish culture in Cyprus. After 1987, he attended to several national and international conferences and congresses in Cyprus, Turkey and in other countries, and he presented communiqués, and his research and study works are published in Cyprus and Turkey. The humorous-satiric poems published with the pen name Ahmet Peykân have not been collected in a book yet. His study book Adsız Kitap (Book without a Name) was translated into English.
