Journalist and writer (b. 1925,
Alişam village / Harput [Elazığ] – d. December 1992, İstanbul). He also used
the pen name Nuri Öncem. He attended İstanbul Haydarpaşa High School (1943). He
enrolled at İstanbul University Faculty of Law, but did not complete his
undergraduate studies. He took up journalism on the newspaper Hürsöz (1945). He worked in various jobs
at the newspapers Zaman, Dünya, Yeni
Sabah, Tercüman, Milliyet, Yeni Gazete and Hürriyet from which he gained fame through his published
interviews.
