Poet and writer (b. 15 December 1945, Kür (Dikmen) village / Bingöl). He attended Bingöl Sarayiçi Primary School (1957). From 1961 he worked as a shoemaker, a tailor, a brick maker, a manager of a coffee house and as a barber in Beylerbeyi, İstanbul. His first poem Leyla’ya (To Leyla) was published in the magazine Sanat Dünyası (February, 1964). His poems and critiques were later published in the magazines and newspapers Aylık Dergi (1983), Kelime (1986-87), Düşçınarı (1996-99), Yelpaze, Kadın Gazetesi, Pos-Tel, Hisar, Eflatun, Yeni Devir (culture page), Bu Meydan, Kelime, Varide, Müslüman Genç, Yeryüzü, Haksöz, Harman, Seviye, Eylül, Aşiyan, Çerağ, Özülke, Endülüs, Kafdağı, Sandal, Aykırı, Palandöken, Lika, Mavera, Kayıtlar, Yedi İklim, Dergâh, Ay Vakti, Bir Nokta, E dergisi, Kaşgar, Kırklar, Ada, Türk Edebiyatı and Mor Taka. His poems translated into Kurdish, were published in the magazine Nubihar. He was one of the founders of the magazine Kardelen (1990-93). He founded and directed the magazine Düşçınarı (1996-1999). He has written weekly articles for the culture page of Akit newspaper. He is a member of Writers Union of Turkey.

ESSAY: Uzun Günlerin Kısa Tarihi (Short History of Long Days, 1998).
